Landcare Nursery

The Upper Beaconsfield Indigenous Nursery is a subsidiary of Cardinia Catchment Landcare Inc. It produces about 40,000 trees, shrubs and grasses per year for plantings on properties, for councils, contractors, landscapers, schools, friends' groups and community groups.

Opening Times

Open 9am to 4pm on Fridays or by appointment.

Open Saturdays 9am-12noon (till end May, September 1 - November 15)

Prices

$1.30-$2.50 each per 50mm tube (discounts available for larger orders).

Larger plants at various prices.

Bush foods $2.00-$4.00 each per 50mm tube.

Volunteers

The nursery is supported by volunteers.  Volunteers assist in all aspects of nursery production including seed collecting and plant propagation.  If you want to be involved, please contact the manager.

Manager

Anita lives in the Beaconsfield area and is strongly motivated to conserve the natural environment.  She is advanced in her studies for a degree of Bachelor of Horticulture from the University of Melbourne.  She is in a good [position to apply her formal training to the practical demands of running an enterprise that produces 40,000 plants a year.  She has had previous experience of being a business manager - useful in coordinating the volunteer work force on which the nursery enterprise largely depends
